1. How did you feel about your final monologue? What were you proud of? What was the most challenging aspect?
a. I feel good about my final monologue, the fact that I had a lot of room to play around with my character was the most fun aspect. I am proud of the character I have created and the journey I took him through. The most challenging part about the final monologue was to try and make all the requirements flow together and make it sound natural. To accomplish this I made the character start to doubt his actions unless he was told otherwise.
2. What was the most difficult part of your journey in this class? How do you feel about your ability to meet that challenge?
a. The most difficult part about this class was getting comfortable with acting as a whole. As someone with a completely different background, getting into acting and especially in front of strangers was difficult. I was able to meet the challenger after the class started to get more and more comfortable with each other and it made the class more enjoyable.
3. What words of advice would you offer to a person signing up for this class?
a. If I knew someone who signed up for this class the best advise I would give them is to be open. There are different types of people with different backgrounds, the diverse class makes it more enjoyable to connect with your classmates, and finally be able to use your crazy imagination. Since there is technically "no wrong answer" to how you act, you get the freedom that anyone would want in a class so don't be scared.
Koray,
I am just pleased as punch with your work this semester. I know that it was a little hard for you in the beginning of the semester, but I am so pleased with how you were able to trust yourself and take chances. Your work was just lovely everytime. It was a pleasure to have you on class every step of the way.
Your story needs to be the next blockbuster movie for sure; but the hero has to still have the amazing heart and sensitivity that you brought. That was the best part.
Thank you so much for your work and your care this semester. I know that you will do your part in making the future a bright and beautiful place. I wish you the very best of luck in your journey. You deserve it.
